Vacations with the family can be both fun and challenging. It’s great to spend time together and see new things. It’s important to consider selecting a location that will offer a variety of activities for everyone in the family.

Perhaps you are looking into Fiji holidays because you have a taste for beautiful, exotic vacation. If you are fortunate to locate some cheap flights to Bali, you should definitely consider this for your next family vacation.

Bali is a beautiful island in Indonesia. It’s small enough to drive the entire coast in a day but that doesn’t limit the amazing options for entertainment. There are many fun activities that children will enjoy along with their parents.

Accommodations

Resorts and hotels are located throughout Bali. With a little research, you can easily find a family friendly location. Most of the nicer hotels will have beautiful pools, great service, and housekeeping including.

If you would prefer a more private location, consider renting a villa. this would definitely give you the space needed to enjoy time with a family. Find one with a pool and hire a maid service to come in daily. This is your vacation, you don’t want to spend it cleaning. Some maids will do your shopping if you pay them a little extra.

Food

Bali has some wonderful options for unique cuisine. If your children are a bit fussy, visit one of the larger supermarkets where you will be pleased to find some well known brands and items that are familiar. Ask the locals for suggestions as well. They are generally glad to help.

Things to Do

Beach Trips

Bali has many wonderful white sand beaches where you can swim, surf, or just relax in the sand. Beaches outside some of the nicer hotels will be well maintained and provide loungers for the guests.

Visit the Kintamani Volcano

The Kintamani Volcano is one of Bali’s most famous attractions. Consider booking one of the many tours available to guide you to this site.

The Elephant Safari Park at Taro

Bring your family to pet and feed elephants. After that, they can enjoy a spectacular ride that they will never forget. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Bali Odyssey Submarine

Board this air conditioned vessel and safely plunge up to 150 feet below the surface of the ocean. Enjoy the views of beautiful coral reefs and exotic fish. This is a great activity for all ages.

White Water Rafting

If you are looking for an exciting adventure that you’ll never forget, consider one of the white water rafting trips. This activity may not be appropriate for small children so please check with the guide before you book.

Your Bali family vacation will be one that you remember forever. The locals are very welcoming and enjoy sharing their culture with visitors. The sights are amazing, the activity options are endless, and you will be sad to leave at the end of your visit. Do your research and locate cheap Bali flights. You are about to have the trip of a lifetime.

Guidebook: Lonely Planet Bali & Lombok

A good guidebook and fairly accurate for your travel in Bali. In a country like Indonesia, however, things change quickly so you can use this book as your reference not as a bible. The introduction to Balinese culture, religion and art, descriptions of major temple sites, places to stay and eat were all helpful and generally accurate, briefly. Get a copy for yourself now!

I was planning to go to Thailand this year, but as it is flooding and situation there is out of control, I think Bali can be excellent choice. I have been there about 3 years ago, it is very nice and inexpensive destination.

I think destination is perfect for winter holidays for people that don’t like snow. I personally prefer tropical beach resorts than ski vacations.

For sure Bali is great destination, especially during the new of Christmas, New Year and January. I’ve been there several times with my family. Everything is really cheap compared to western countries.

I’ve been to Thailand, Cambodia and China in Asia, but never to Bali. I wish I can organize a trip with few friends in the beginning of next year.
