I have some friends from Maldives telling me how marvelous their country is and I had decided to take a peek on it. And yes – it’s marvelous!
Maldives is an archipelago comprising 1,190 low-lying coral islands scattered across the equator. 26 naturally becomes atolls which are divided into 20 for administrative purposes. 1190 islands clustered however from the 1190, only 202 islands are inhabited. Tourism in Maldives is currently developing on a very large scale and in fact it is the largest economic industry in Maldives. Today, more than 500,000 tourists visit Maldives each year.
